Atlas turnouts don't have very good electrical connections between their various parts. The base plate-to-rail connection on one, or both, point rails may be the culprit. Adding the jumpers described and shown in "Improving Atlas turnouts" could fix that problem.
How best to power Atlas turnout points. I recently detected that the points on some of my Atlas custom line #6 turnouts are not getting power & the DCC signal to the points.I am a rank newbie trying to get started with Atlas code 55 N scale track and am planning my layout.
