I just tried doing a dyno with FBO, 70% meth, 94 Oct Gas on Map 7 and my clutch was slipping during 3.5-4k RPM. The guy said the clutch started slipping where tq was at 450+. I have a 2014 335i RWD so its EWG with 62,000km.

Downpipe and a tune with the n55 and you will be on par with a FBO n20 (rare but they exist. I'm one of them and have every bolt on that you can get off the shelf for the f30 n20 6MT). Anything more and the n55 will mop the floor with it in comparison.

  • Also, most n54's have been beat to shit, there are still a lot of low mile N55 or N55 driven by older people and not 20 something year olds who ragged on their car 24/7. Edit: Another thing is fbo n55 makes about 400ish whp vs 440whp on n54.

I am starting to look at tuning my 2013 335i. I have browsed the forums but I can't find many real world experiences with 335i tunes. Testimonials, problems, costs, butt dyno, actual dyno, 0-60, quarter times, etc. Anything you got, I would like to hear. I'm debating a tune or suspension... Bone stock PWG N55’s normally dyno in the ballpark of 270whp and 285wtq. As you can see, the bump in power isn’t that drastic. Stage 1 MHD N55 tunes will make somewhere in the ballpark of 290-310 wheel horsepower and 340-360 torque. ACN (AZ, CA, NV) 91 octane is poor fueling so you may not even break 300whp on these modest stage 1 tunes.
